I am very honored to be the president of the Piedmont Blues Preservation Society. Music has always held an important place in my life. I have taken music lessons, been in school bands, bought many records, tapes, and CDs, seen a lot of live shows, and hosted my own radio show for almost 15 years. I cannot imagine my life without music. We are extremely fortunate to live in an area where there are many talented musicians. To me, Piedmont Blues Preservation means honoring and preserving the history of blues, but it also encompasses celebrating the blues artists we have now, and helping to introduce more people to the blues, so blues music will continue to live in people’s hearts.
The Piedmont Blues Preservation Society consists of a dedicated board of trustees, all working together to help our organization in its mission. Stay tuned, we have a lot of exciting things on the horizon.
Thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, musicians, vendors, and all of you who come to enjoy our Annual Blues Festival, the longest running blues festival in the Southeastern U.S.. We appreciate your support and participation.
